Safety: While I hope everyone walks away with nothing but fond memories of the great activities we did and the friend we made, we all know that outdoor activities such as these are inherently risky. Everyone should bring a first aid kit with whatever you feel is appropriate. An example can bring can be found at the WMA website. As in most places in the US, 911 gets you emergency services. For non-emergencies, the nearest hospital is Doylestown Hospital. Follow the directions to Route 611. Make a left onto 611 and follow it south. Exit at Route 202 South (Norristown/State Street exit). Bear right off exit. Hospital is two blocks on left.

Directions to campground: Please use the map and these directions. There are several bridges out in the area (I'm not sure how many - I've identified the ones I'm aware of). Mapquest is great for getting you to the vicinity, but please use these directions once you get there. Otherwise, you may find yourself trying to cross a bridge that isn't there anymore.

From the west: On your map, find Doylestown and Route 611. Follow 611 north to the junction with Route 113 (Bedminster Rd). This is where you want to get to. Instead of heading west on Route 113, head east on Hollow Horn Rd. At the T-intersection turn right onto Oak Grove Rd. At the T-intersection turn left onto Hollow Horn Rd again. At the T-intersection turn right onto Red Hill Rd. Stay (turn) right on Red Hill Rd at the intersection of Red Hill Rd and Hollow Horn Rd. At the T-intersection turn right onto Dark Hollow Rd. Almost immediately turn left onto Stover Park Rd. Just before a No Outlet sign, turn left onto the unpaved Tory Rd. You'll come to a stop sign (other road is Wormansville). Make a right (staying on Tory Rd). Go to the next stop sign and make a right on Cafferty Road. On your right you'll see the sign for Deer Wood Campground. Turn in there.

From the east: On your map, find the town of Point Pleasant. It's along the Delaware River, on River Road (Route 32), north of New Hope. There is a small blue church right along the road. You want to turn here on Cafferty Road. You'll pass Tohickon Valley Park with a big parking lot (DO NOT GO THERE), then make a left into Deer Wood Campground just past it.

Directions from campground to Ralph Stover: Make a left on Cafferty Road. Go less than a mile, and make the first left onto Tory Road. At a Y in the road, bear left (you'll still be on Tory Road, the other road is Wormansville). The road will turn to dirt. Make a right into the High Rocks parking lot.

Campground Rules: 6 people max per campsite. 2 cars max per campsite. 2 tents max per campsite. No alcohol. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. (Talking to some campers, there's usually 1 check by a park ranger in the evening. Judging by the beer bottles left behind, alcohol may not be permitted but it is consumed!) Any extra cars can be left at the main parking lot.
