The 2004 Philadelphia Flower Show was held March 7 - March 14 at the Convention Center. The theme was Destination Paradise and the featured flower was the orchid...or rather something like 100,000 orchids. However, after visiting Costa Rica, something "wild" was missing for me, so the displays didn't impress me as much as past years. My favorite exhibit was "Under the Sea" featuring succulents. From a distance, the exhibit looked like coral, anenomes, seaweed, and other watery specimens. Up close, a different picture appeared. However, the highlite for me were the whimsical (and fierce!) fish.
